Supplies Needed

SUPPLIES NEEDED

MEDICAL AND NON-MEDICAL SUPPLIES:

Your monetary donations go farther than providing physical kits. If you would like to make a cash donation so that we can obtain supplies locally, helping both the Haitian economy and the families we serve, please consider that in lieu of shipping supply kits.
Volunteers often help us by bringing requested donated supplies to Haiti or shipping them to us in the US.  View our needs list.
  •  Please note: If you are gathering/purchasing supplies to bring with you on your volunteer trip in Haiti, we ask that you email volunteer@midwivesforhaiti.org about:
    • 1. Bringing large quantities of items from our supply list
    • 2. Checking in with us about what needs are MOST URGENT 1-2 weeks before your trip.

CLEAN DELIVERY KITS:

Each month, over 150 Clean Delivery Kits are distributed to traditional birth attendants -called matwons or matròns in Creole- who have participated in our Matròn Outreach Program.  Designed around local matròn culture and practices, these basic supplies cost about $2 each and ensure clean delivery for mother and baby.
