Week 3 Update: Spring Fundraising Campaign 2024

Dear Ones,

Spring is a time of renewal and rebirth, and this season, we are filled with gratitude for your continued support of Midwives for Haiti. We hope you have enjoyed learning about our new programs here at MFH, Kay Manman Yo and the Denis Jean Baptiste Birth Center (JBBC), as well as our community clinics, which are truly the backbone of our direct service delivery.

These facilities are lifelines for many, providing essential care and support to women and their babies. For example, the JBBC has served 94 women in our first 30 days of operations, including 4 births. The staff there have also referred 4 high risk mothers to Kay Manman Yo; all our programs support each other, forming a network of safety, compassion and love.

However, the journey is not yet complete. We are still $1,000 away from reaching our foundation match, we are only $5,257 away from our goal of $40,000. Your contributions are crucial in helping us bridge this gap and unlock the full potential of our funding.

The reality in Haiti is stark: 1 in 8 women die during childbirth or within the first three months postpartum. This is a heartbreaking statistic that we are committed to changing. Every donation brings us closer to ensuring safer pregnancies and births, providing skilled midwives, and improving maternal healthcare for those who need it most.

Please consider giving a financial gift today to help us reach our goal and continue this lifesaving work. I want you to experience the same joy we do when a mother survives the childbearing year, when a family remains whole and complete. Together, we can make a profound impact on the lives of countless women and their families.

Love Always,

Jane Drichta
